The Public Health Engineering Department is the provincial government agency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa responsible for planning, constructing, and maintaining safe drinking water supply and sanitation systems for both rural and urban populations. PHED’s mission is to ensure equitable access to potable water and proper sanitation services, improve hygiene, and manage natural water resources sustainably across the province. The department implements water supply and sanitation schemes, promotes hygiene practices, and supports public health outcomes by expanding coverage and improving service delivery in communities throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
